L\u2019occasion de mesurer l\u2019\u00e9volution de la plus grande course du monde en comparant le premier \u00e9quipage vainqueur en 1923 et celui de l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">C\u2019est afin de soutenir l\u2019\u00e9volution technologique que les 24 Heures du Mans sont n\u00e9es en 1923. L\u2019oeuvre de l\u2019Automobile Club de l\u2019Ouest (ACO) et tout particuli\u00e8rement de son secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, Georges Durand. Une course d\u2019endurance sur 24 heures o\u00f9 deux pilotes peuvent librement se relayer au volant d\u2019une m\u00eame automobile. Lors de cette premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition, Andr\u00e9 Lagache et Ren\u00e9 L\u00e9onard sur Chenard &#038; Walcker furent les meilleurs des 33 \u00e9quipages. En 2013, le trio Allan McNish, Tom Kristensen et Lo\u00efc Duval ont triomph\u00e9 de 54 autres \u00e9quipages. <\/p>\n<h2>La distance parcourue doubl\u00e9e<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autosphere.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/071268d9df172c52d248a2d33d203ab8.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ce qui est int\u00e9ressant avec les 24 Heures du Mans, c\u2019est que le trac\u00e9 n\u2019a que tr\u00e8s peu \u00e9volu\u00e9 depuis 1923, tout en \u00e9tant raccourci. La seule \u00e9volution majeure fut l\u2019installation de deux chicanes dans la ligne droite des Hunaudi\u00e8res en 1990. Faut dire qu\u2019\u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es 1980, les prototypes fr\u00f4laient les 400 km\/h (voir les d\u00e9passaient) pendant plus d\u2019une minute. Ajoutons le virage Porsche, fait pour d\u00e9vier du trac\u00e9 dangereux de Maison Blanche.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En 1923, Andr\u00e9 Lagache et Ren\u00e9 L\u00e9onard ont accompli 128 tours d\u2019un trac\u00e9 de 17,262 km. Une distance totale de 2 209,536 km, l\u2019\u00e9quivalent d\u2019un Brest-Varsovie parcouru \u00e0 une vitesse moyenne de 92 km\/h ! L\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, Allan McNish, Tom Kristensen et Lo\u00efc Duval ont parcouru avec l\u2019Audi R18 e-tron quattro 348 tours d\u2019un trac\u00e9 de 13,629 km, soit 4 742,982 km. Au d\u00e9part de Brest, cela revient \u00e0 s\u2019arr\u00eater au pied des montagnes russes de l\u2019Oural, \u00e0 Perm ! Selon Google Maps, nous mettrions 54 heures \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser pareille distance avec nos voitures (et le code de la Route) ! <\/p>\n<h2>\u00c9volution technologique<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autosphere.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/aedacce31b3847101d19afbf3c542748.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La Chenard &#038; Walcker Sport de 1923 disposait d\u2019un moteur 4 cylindres de 3,0l d\u00e9livrant aux alentours de 90 chevaux distill\u00e9s par une bo\u00eete manuelle \u00e0 4 rapports. 90 ans plus tard, l\u2019Audi R18 e-tron quattro est forte d\u2019une motorisation hybride V6 3,7l turbo diesel d\u00e9livrant jusqu\u2019\u00e0 530 chevaux via une bo\u00eete s\u00e9quentielle \u00e0 6 rapports.
