La voiture alors la plus vendue en France jusqu\u2019alors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">25 ans apr\u00e8s son lancement, c\u2019\u00e9tait la larme \u00e0 l\u2019oeil que beaucoup voyaient disparaitre la Renault 5. Une carri\u00e8re exceptionnelle que l\u2019on parle de long\u00e9vit\u00e9, de succ\u00e8s commerciaux ou d\u2019estime. Mais il fallait bien reconna\u00eetre qu\u2019avec les ravissantes Twingo et Clio qui venaient de d\u00e9bouler sur le march\u00e9, le R5 n\u2019avait plus sa place, clairement d\u00e9pass\u00e9e par la nouvelle philosophie de l\u2019automobile des villes et la technologie, l\u2019heure de la retraite avait sonn\u00e9 sous fond d\u2019incertitudes pour les employ\u00e9s de Renault en France. Cela ne devait pas dire pour autant que la R5 devait quitter les lignes d\u2019assemblage sur la pointe des pieds. Pour l\u2019occasion une ultime s\u00e9rie sp\u00e9ciale fut mise au point, la conclusion d\u2019une quarantaine pour cette seule automobile depuis 1972 et 9 millions d\u2019exemplaires.<\/p>\n<h2>Bye-bye la R5, bye-bye les emplois ?<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autosphere.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/0632a45bc2a9d145b0cd5a4eb1b00fd0.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">C\u2019est avec malice que&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.autosphere.fr\/blog\/recherche\/index\/12\/index\/\/\">Renault<\/a> trouva le nom de sa derni\u00e8re R5. \u00ab<em> Bye-bye<\/em> \u00bb. Le logo rappelait qu\u2019elle fut produite \u00e0 Flins, en France* tandis que le slogan \u00e9tait limpide : \u00ab <em>On n\u2019a pas tous les jours l\u2019occasion d\u2019acheter neuve une voiture de collection<\/em> \u00bb. Disponible en trois ou cinq portes et via 6 couleurs, cette R5 Bye-Bye reprenaient les mod\u00e8les Saga et Five. On retrouvait ainsi de larges protections lat\u00e9rales et quelques anachronismes pour 1996 comme les jantes acier sans enjoliveurs (13 pouces), l\u2019essuie-glace arri\u00e8re (d\u00e9crit comme une mont\u00e9e en gamme), mais \u00e9galement avec son badge diff\u00e9renciant sur la hayon. \u00c0 bord, vous pouviez \u00e9videmment compter sur une sellerie sp\u00e9cifique (d\u2019un go\u00fbt relatif), une autoradio cassette 2x6w et m\u00eame des si\u00e8ges avant inclinables avec appuis-t\u00eates. <\/p>\n<h2>\u00c0 peine 3 000 frs moins ch\u00e8re qu\u2019une Twingo ou une Clio !<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sous le capot, Renault avait install\u00e9 le nouveau moteur 1,4l en ad\u00e9quation avec la toute premi\u00e8re norme Euro (Euro 1**) entr\u00e9e en vigueur le 1er janvier 1993. Il d\u00e9veloppait jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 60 ch (@4750tr\/min) et 100 Nm (@3000 tr\/min) associ\u00e9 \u00e0 une BVM5 et pour poids contenu \u00e0 760 kg (+15 pour les 5 portes). Et si l\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019acheter l\u2019une des derni\u00e8res R5 de l\u2019Histoire connut un certain succ\u00e8s, son prix a sembl\u00e9 assez largement d\u00e9connect\u00e9 du reste de la gamme ! En effet, la R5 Bye-Bye 3 portes d\u00e9butait \u00e0 partir de 56 400 frs, soit 2 900 frs de moins seulement qu\u2019une Twingo ! La version 5 portes d\u00e9butait elle \u00e0 59 400 frs alors que la Clio \u00e9tait \u00e0 62 600 frs. On parle tout de m\u00eame d\u2019\u00e0 peine 450\u20ac de diff\u00e9rence ! Une voiture de collection, forc\u00e9ment !<\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uqWdW9JAP0Y\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">*M\u00eame si sa production fut d\u00e9localis\u00e9e en Slov\u00e9nie en 1984. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">** La norme Euro 1 de 1993 imposait de limiter les \u00e9missions de CO \u00e0 2720 g\/km.
