Elle \u00e9tait pourtant \u00e0 l\u2019Allemagne ce que Liliane Bettencourt est \u00e0 la France\u2026 Une immense fortune du pays et principale actionnaire d\u2019un g\u00e9ant de l\u2019industrie (BMW), mais pas seulement. Elle est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e le 3 ao\u00fbt 2015 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 89 ans.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Matriarche d\u2019une famille d\u2019actionnaires, Johanna Quandt \u00e9tait toujours \u00e0 89 ans la principale actionnaire du groupe BMW. Son d\u00e9c\u00e8s a provoqu\u00e9 une certaine \u00e9motion en Allemagne, admir\u00e9e ou d\u00e9cri\u00e9e, Johanna Quandt ne laissait pas indiff\u00e9rent comme le suppose la fortune colossale de l\u2019empire industriel familial, environ 31 milliards d\u2019euros en 2014.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00c0 l\u2019origine, sa fortune est celle de son \u00e9poux. Herbert Quandt, riche industriel qu\u2019elle rencontra dans les ann\u00e9es 50 alors qu\u2019elle n\u2019\u00e9tait que secr\u00e9taire. Apr\u00e8s 22 ans de mariage, Herbert Quandt d\u00e9c\u00e8de en 1982 et laisse son empire \u00e0 Johanna et ses deux enfants Susanne et Stefan. Riche veuve, Johanna aurait pu laisser filer, \u00eatre \u00e0 l\u2019abris du besoin en revendant ses parts. \u00c0 la place, elle a appris les m\u00e9tiers de la gestion et de la finance. Elle fut la vice-pr\u00e9sidente de BMW 15 ann\u00e9es durant, avant de se retirer en 1997 tout en conservant 46,7% des parts du groupe. Johanna Quandt conservait \u00e9galement des parts dans le sp\u00e9cialiste de la fibre de carbone SGL Carbon ou le chimiste Altana.<\/p>\n<h2>Une discr\u00e9tion rattrap\u00e9e par les faits divers et la politique<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, Johanna Quandt ne faisait pas parler d\u2019elle, pr\u00e9f\u00e9rant la discr\u00e9tion de sa maison de Bad Hombourg (Hesse) aux mondanit\u00e9s. Seuls deux sujets majeurs lui furent consacr\u00e9 par la presse allemande. Le premier, en 2009, \u00e0 propos d\u2019 \u00ab <em>un gigolo suisse<\/em> \u00bb qui abusa de la confiance et fit chanter sa fille, Susanne (sold\u00e9e par 6 ans de prison). Fin 2013 avec un don 690 000\u20ac \u00e0 la CDU, le parti de la chanceli\u00e8re allemande Angela Merkel, deux semaines apr\u00e8s sa r\u00e9-\u00e9lection. Pour beaucoup d\u2019opposants, ce don a ressembl\u00e9 \u00e0 une forme de corruption afin de pousser la chanceli\u00e8re \u00e0 s\u2019opposer aux nouvelles normes \u00e9cologiques de l\u2019Union Europ\u00e9enne, notamment sur les rejets de CO2.<\/p>\n<h2>Examen de conscience tardif<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un jour, Johanna Quandt dut \u00e9galement faire face au pass\u00e9 de son d\u00e9funt mari. Les historiens ont mis en \u00e9vidence que Herbert Quandt ainsi que son p\u00e8re, G\u00fcnter, avaient largement profit\u00e9 des camps de travaux forc\u00e9s nazis (50 000 personnes, certains en sont morts) pour soutenir l\u2019effort de guerre et particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la spoliation de familles juives. Fin 2007, BMW d\u00e9cide d\u2019ouvrir ses archives. Il s\u2019en suit un documentaire implacable diffus\u00e9 sur la cha\u00eene NDR. Dans ce film, l\u2019un des procureurs de la <em>d\u00e9nazification<\/em>, Benjamin Ferencz, assure que \u00ab<em> si le tribunal de Nuremberg avait eu en main les documents r\u00e9unis par les auteurs du film, Quandt aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 condamn\u00e9 tout comme Krupp ou Flick<\/em> \u00bb. Il faudra attendre 2011 pour que le n\u00e9cessaire devoir de m\u00e9moire de Herbert Quandt soit r\u00e9dig\u00e9. Un livre tout autant \u00e0 charge mais autoris\u00e9 par la veuve. il fut regrettable que Johanna Quandt donna aussi tardivement son autorisation \u00e0 cet examen de conscience public auquel de nombreuses fortunes familiales allemandes (et europ\u00e9ennes) ont du se plier. Peut \u00eatre aussi parce que pour de nombreux allemands, G\u00fcnther Quandt fut avant tout l\u2019homme qui sauva BMW de la faillite en rachetant le constructeur \u00e0 Daimler en 1959.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Certainement la d\u00e9cision la plus lourde jamais prise par Johanna Quandt au cours d\u2019une vie certainement heureuse et remarquable. Elle qui, jeune adulte, ne devait certainement pas ambitionner plus que sa place de secr\u00e9taire.
