Sauf que la F1 n\u2019a rien d\u2019une voiture populaire : 106 exemplaires en cumulant toutes les versions au tarif minimal 634 500\u00a3, soit pr\u00e8s d\u2019un million d\u2019euros ! En 1995, Ferrari fait encore mieux avec la F50, premi\u00e8re voiture de s\u00e9rie \u00e0 disposer d\u2019une cellule de survie en carbone. Porsche fait de m\u00eame en 2003 avec la Carrera GT. L\u2019id\u00e9e \u00e9tait de transposer \u00e0 une client\u00e8le privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e quelques secrets du sport automobile. <\/p>\n<h2>PRFC ?<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autosphere.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/52a92077a46df8ca12c142f746a2f775.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Par fibre de carbone, comprenez Plastique Renforc\u00e9 \u00e0 la Fibre de Carbone ou PRFC. Un mat\u00e9riau qui a cumul\u00e9  les avantages au fur et \u00e0 mesure des r\u00e8glementations. \u00c0 commencer par son poids et sa r\u00e9sistance. Le PRFC est 4 fois plus mince et 5 fois plus l\u00e9ger que l\u2019acier, mais \u00e9galement 10 fois plus r\u00e9sistant et insensible \u00e0 la corrosion. Autant dire que pour un prix l\u00e9g\u00e8rement sup\u00e9rieur, les avantages sont consid\u00e9rables en permettant de gagner en rigidit\u00e9 et en poids. On obtient ainsi de meilleures consommations, acc\u00e9l\u00e9rations et freinages. \u00c0 l\u2019heure du downsizing (ou comment demander plus d\u2019efficacit\u00e9 \u00e0 des moteurs moins importants), c\u2019est une donn\u00e9e fondamentale. 100 kg d\u2019\u00e9conomis\u00e9s, c\u2019est 10 g\/km de CO2 en moins (plus ou moins).<\/p>\n<h2>Son meilleur ami ? L\u2019aluminium<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autosphere.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/b5c91d0429d842782512e0f73cfb835e.jpg\" style=\"color: rgb(248, 248, 248);\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Si la fibre de carbone s\u2019est impos\u00e9e pour les ultras sportives avec notamment le ch\u00e2ssis monocoque, son association avec l\u2019aluminium pour les parties avant et arri\u00e8re a permis de descendre en gamme depuis quelques ann\u00e9es. De la F1, le PRFC est venue sous les jupes de l\u2019Audi R8, de l\u2019Alfa Romeo 4C, des BMW i8 et m\u00eame i3. Avec la nouvelle BMW Serie 7 Photo 1), la fibre de carbone vit une nouvelle \u00e9tape de banalisation en \u00e9tant associ\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019aluminium et l\u2019acier \u00e0 haute limite \u00e9lastique. On gagne en poids, en rigidit\u00e9. Et puis comment ne pas y voir un formidable argument marketing ?!<\/p>\n<h2>Des d\u00e9fauts ? Oui<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le PRFC va-t-il s\u2019imposer dans toutes nos voitures d\u2019ici 10 ou 20 ans ? C\u2019est loin d\u2019\u00eatre \u00e9vident. Contrairement \u00e0 l\u2019acier ou la t\u00f4le, il est impossible pour le moment d\u2019emboutir un ch\u00e2ssis ou une simple porti\u00e8re en fibre de carbone. Ensuite parce que le PRFC n\u2019est pas r\u00e9parable, ne peut \u00eatre redress\u00e9. Contrairement \u00e0 l\u2019acier ou l\u2019aluminium, un choc n\u2019engendrera pas un enfoncement mais des dizaines ou des centaines de d\u00e9bris de PRFC. C\u2019est pourquoi le mariage Cellule de survie en PRFC avec des blocs avant et arri\u00e8re en aluminium semblent \u00eatre la solution de l\u2019avenir pour l\u2019industrie. Cela engendrera meilleure s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et baisse des consommations.
