Sauf que depuis 1978 la voiture est pass\u00e9e dans le c\u00f4t\u00e9 obscur. En 2011, des recherches furent entreprises. En vain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En 40 ans, Star Wars a conquis des g\u00e9n\u00e9rations de fans, notamment avec des milliers d\u2019objets au statut plus ou moins collector. D\u00e8s 1977, Toyota Californie fit r\u00e9aliser par Delphi Auto Design ce qui apparait aujourd\u2019hui comme un v\u00e9ritable tr\u00e9sor perdu. Une Art Car peinte \u00e0 la main, rassemblant des frises et des d\u00e9calcomanies des personnages du film, des batailles spatiales et m\u00eame l\u2019affiche du film sur le capot. Cette Toyota Celica GT est accompagn\u00e9e par une s\u00e9rie de photos, dont une \u00e9tonnante pose devant la Twentieth Century-Fox avec Dark Vador, C-3PO et R2-D2\u2026 Semble-t-il que r\u00e9unir le grand m\u00e9chant du film et les robots-amis des gentils sur la m\u00eame photo ne posait pas de probl\u00e8me de coh\u00e9rence\u2026<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autosphere.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ba9511f6afc319028029adab65ceba2d.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pass\u00e9e la promotion, y compris dans le magazine professionnel Toyota, cette Celica GT Star Wars fut le premier des 1 977 lots d\u2019un concours en concession. Outre son aspect collector qui ne sautait pas forc\u00e9ment aux yeux \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque, ce show-car reposait (semble-t-il) sur la base technique de l\u2019une des 77 Toyota pace-car de l\u2019\u00e9poque : Kit carrosserie sp\u00e9cifique, suspension avant MacPherson, freins \u00e0 disques, radio FM-AM, sellerie sp\u00e9cifique ou encore roues personnalis\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autosphere.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/a957fd92d6ccc930d9fdf0878402c4dd.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Seulement voil\u00e0, selon les versions, le document relatant l\u2019identit\u00e9 du vainqueur a \u00e9t\u00e9 perdu ou d\u00e9truit (voire jamais r\u00e9alis\u00e9) occasionnant la disparition de la circulation du mod\u00e8le. En 2011, Dean Shada (qui travaille \u00e0 la Fox) se mit en t\u00eate de retrouver cette voiture. Son enqu\u00eate l\u2019a conduit chez Delphi Auto Design, chez Toyota California, \u00e0 parcourir la plupart de communaut\u00e9s de fans de Star Wars, \u00e0 inonder les forum d\u2019appels \u00e0 t\u00e9moin avec une adresse pour y r\u00e9pondre : shadadean@yahoo.com\u2026 Faisant chou blanc \u00e0 chaque fois. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00c0 quelques jours de la sortie de l\u2019\u00e9pisode 7, \u00ab<em> Le R\u00e9veil de la Force<\/em> \u00bb, remettre la main sur une telle Art Car serait une belle histoire. Le fait est que cela fait 5 ans qu\u2019elle est recherch\u00e9e.
