Parce que l\u2019Italienne reposait tr\u00e8s largement sur le mod\u00e8le de s\u00e9rie.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le service de presse de Fiat Chrysler Automobile exag\u00e8re un rien dans le titre de son communiqu\u00e9 (\u00ab <em>PanDakar, reine du plus grand rallye raid au monde <\/em>\u00bb) mais la performance m\u00e9rite d\u2019\u00eatre soulign\u00e9e. Au cours de cette \u00e9dition 2017, le Dakar a vu pour la premi\u00e8re fois une \u00ab<em> citadine d\u00e9riv\u00e9e d\u2019une voiture de s\u00e9rie <\/em>\u00bb franchir la ligne d\u2019arriv\u00e9e. Une Fiat Panda 4&#215;4 Cross, renomm\u00e9e PanDakar par le team Orobica Raid. Et si elle termine \u00e0 plus de 77 heures du St\u00e9phane Peterhansel, \u00e0 la 55e place selon l\u2019organisation, \u00e0 la 51e selon FCA, la PanDakar a le m\u00e9rite d\u2019avoir termin\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9preuve l\u00e0 o\u00f9 une vingtaine d\u2019\u00e9quipages ont \u00e9chou\u00e9, la faute \u00e0 des conditions extr\u00eames sur un parcours traversant le Paraguay, la Bolivie et l\u2019Argentine.<\/p>\n<h2>Une Panda de 180 chevaux<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autosphere.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/a1551b6602c1071edac23fabe39ca95f.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Par conditions extr\u00eames comprenez des temp\u00e9ratures de 40\u00b0, de v\u00e9ritables d\u00e9luges et une altitude de 3 500 m\u00e8tres atteinte durant 5 jours. Du coup, la citadine des champs avait re\u00e7u quelques retouches. Notamment les entr\u00e9es d\u2019air et l&#8217;am\u00e9nagement du moteur diesel Multijet de 180 chevaux afin de r\u00e9sister aux charges de travail dans des conditions parfois asthmatiques. Ce fut le travail de Nicolas Montecchio qui a permis \u00e0 Giulio Verzeletti et Antonio Cabini (pas loin d\u2019une quarantaine de Dakar \u00e0 eux deux) de r\u00e9aliser cette premi\u00e8re pour une citadine Fiat plus ou moins de s\u00e9rie.<\/p>\n<h2>Joli coup de pub<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autosphere.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/a2ec776e1bcb05ca41297773e16c2ec5.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En parvenant \u00e0 franchir la ligne d\u2019arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 Buenos Aires, l\u2019\u00e9quipage italien offre un joli coup de projecteur \u00e0 la petite italienne aux capacit\u00e9s \u00e9tonnantes. Il faut dire que depuis la premi\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration apparue en juin 1983, la Panda 4&#215;4 jouit d\u2019une excellente r\u00e9putation aupr\u00e8s des personnes qui vivent en altitude. Avec son poids contenu et son syst\u00e8me 4 roues motrices d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par Steyr-Puch, elle se montrait tr\u00e8s agile sur la neige. La premi\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration avait \u00e9galement la particularit\u00e9 de freiner en croisant les roues, fa\u00e7on chasse-neige.
