La marque aux anneaux avance sur cette alternative. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Depuis 2011 d\u00e9j\u00e0, Audi et l\u2019am\u00e9ricain Joule travaillent sur la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un carburant de synth\u00e8se ind\u00e9pendant du p\u00e9trole brut. En 2014, la firme aux anneaux communiquait sur un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autosphere.fr\/blog\/media\/technologie\/et-si-audi-creait-un-e-gazole-\/1358\/\">e-gazole<\/a> n\u00e9 de l\u2019eau de mer par un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 proche de la photosynth\u00e8se. Ces derniers jours, Audi a communiqu\u00e9 sur d\u2019autres travaux autour d\u2019une essence alternative apr\u00e8s avoir r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 produire 60 litres de \u00ab e-benzin \u00bb. Produit \u00e0 partir de la biomasse, ce carburant est d\u00e9pourvu de soufre comme de benz\u00e8ne et ne rejetterait donc que tr\u00e8s peu de polluants en brulant. Concr\u00e8tement, la production de cet isooctane liquide est obtenu en deux \u00e9tapes. Une premi\u00e8re consiste \u00e0 produire de l\u2019isobut\u00e8ne gazeux (C4H8) dans une usine de d\u00e9monstration d\u00e9tenue par Global Bioenergies. La seconde \u00e9tape se d\u00e9roule dans le Fraunhofer Center for Chemical Biotechnological Processes (CBP) de Leuna et consiste \u00e0 injecter de l\u2019hybrog\u00e8ne pour obtenir de l\u2019isooctane (C8H18). <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cette quantit\u00e9 d\u2019essence de synth\u00e8se est aujourd\u2019hui test\u00e9e afin de d\u00e9terminer comment elle br\u00fble dans un moteur et ce qu\u2019elle rejette. L\u2019optimisme est n\u00e9anmoins de rigueur pour le responsable du d\u00e9veloppement de produits durables chez Audi, Reiner Mangold : \u00ab <em>Comme tous les e-carburants, cette nouvelle version pr\u00e9sente de nombreux avantages. Elle ne d\u00e9pend pas du p\u00e9trole brut, elle est compatible avec l\u2019infrastructure existante et elle offre la perspective d\u2019un cycle carbone ferm\u00e9<\/em> \u00bb. Pour la marque aux anneaux, les carburants alternatifs pourraient offrir jusqu\u2019\u00e0 80% d\u2019\u00e9missions de CO2 en moins sur les mod\u00e8les g-tron.<\/p>\n<h2>60 litres et apr\u00e8s ?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">S\u2019agissant du e-diesel, Audi en produit d\u00e9j\u00e0 des milliers de litres depuis 2013. Un projet de nouvelle usine devrait porter cette production \u00e0 400 000 litres par an. En ce qui concerne le \u00ab e-benzin \u00bb, le projet doit encore suivre son d\u00e9veloppement afin de ne plus avoir recours \u00e0 la biomasse par l\u2019interm\u00e9diaire de CO2 et d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne produits \u00e0 partir de sources renouvelables pour la production des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de base.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Peut-on alors penser qu\u2019Audi (avec ses partenaires) est en passe de devenir une sorte de e-p\u00e9trolier ? Si le constructeur assure que les e-carburants \u00ab <em>repr\u00e9sentent bien plus qu\u2019un simple sujet de recherche en laboratoire<\/em> \u00bb, on remarque aussi que le constructeur mise largement sur les motorisations \u00e9lectriques.
