Et si aujourd\u2019hui, on ne jure plus que par le SUV, les sympathiques mais disgracieuses b\u00e9taill\u00e8res familiales disparaissent peu \u00e0 peu de nos routes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"> \tSi vous prenez la route des vacances d\u2019ici quelques jours ou plus tard, en ao\u00fbt, amusez-vous \u00e0 rechercher les monospaces sur l\u2019autoroute. Ils sont beaucoup moins nombreux que jadis. Qu\u2019elles semblent loin les ann\u00e9es 1990 et 2000 o\u00f9 le monospace \u00e9tait le symbole absolu de la voiture pour la famille. Des hordes de Renault Espace et Sc\u00e9nic, Citro\u00ebn Evasion et Picasso, Peugeot 806 et 807 pour ne parler que des mod\u00e8les fran\u00e7ais. En 2003, B\u00e9nabar y consacre une chanson !<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"> \tPrenons l\u2019exemple de Renault qui articula une gamme enti\u00e8re sur la th\u00e9matique du monospace. Le Modus a \u00e9t\u00e9 retir\u00e9 en 2012 \u00e0 peine 4 ans apr\u00e8s un lancement qui n\u2019a pas vraiment convaincu puisque le vent commen\u00e7ait d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 tourner. Devenu crossover plus que monospace et pas vraiment bon march\u00e9, le Renault Espace pourrait ne pas avoir de descendant au-del\u00e0 de 2022.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"> \tUn symbole fort pour le mod\u00e8le qui lan\u00e7a la mode en 1984 en Europe, \u00e0 peine quelques mois apr\u00e8s le Chrysler Voyager aux USA. Enfin, le Sc\u00e9nic est en difficult\u00e9s pour les m\u00eames raisons de mode mais aussi parce que des jantes 20 pouces de s\u00e9rie et des pneus sur-mesure n\u2019aident pas. Si l\u2019on s\u2019en tient aux strictes monospaces, ces derniers n\u2019ont repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 que 1% des ventes en France en 2018. S\u2019agissant du segment des monospaces compactes, on monte \u00e0 6%. En 2005, l\u2019ensemble des monospaces vendus repr\u00e9sentaient 25,4% du march\u00e9 automobile national avec pr\u00e8s de 500 000 exemplaires.<\/p>\n<h2>La voiture pour toute la famille<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"> \tSur la voie trac\u00e9e par le break,  \t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.autosphere.fr\/blog\/media\/actualites\/les-breaks-font-de-la-resistance\/13718\/\">autre grand disparu des routes<\/a>, le monospace fut la voiture qui contribua \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9volution des comportements d\u2019achat et du discours marketing. On a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 reconna\u00eetre que le p\u00e8re de famille n\u2019\u00e9tait plus le seul interlocuteur, qu\u2019un client sur deux est une cliente, que les enfants (qu\u2019on le veuille ou non) ont leur mot \u00e0 dire. Crise financi\u00e8re et av\u00e8nement du SUV ont n\u00e9anmoins eu la peau du v\u00e9n\u00e9rable monospace. Plus moderne et mieux motoris\u00e9, le SUV s\u2019est impos\u00e9 comme le v\u00e9hicule sexy des ann\u00e9es 2010-2020 au d\u00e9triment du monospace, du break et de la grande berline.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"> \tDu reste les constructeurs ont tranch\u00e9. Depuis 2010, l\u2019offre de monospaces s\u2019est r\u00e9duite \u00e0 peau de chagrin au profit des SUV. Aujourd\u2019hui, en neuf, on trouve encore des Alhambra, Grand C4 SpaceTourer, Galaxy, S\u00e9rie 2 Gran Tourer ou Sharan mais \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9vidence, seule une poign\u00e9e de monospaces survivront. Idem pour les mod\u00e8les compacts. Le Ford B-Max a r\u00e9cemment \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9 tout comme le Kia Venga ou l\u2019Opel Zafira et m\u00eame le Sc\u00e9nic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"> \tSi l\u2019esth\u00e9tique n\u2019est pas sa qualit\u00e9 premi\u00e8re, le monospace reste un v\u00e9hicule pertinent pour une famille nombreuse aimant voyager ou un professionnel se d\u00e9pla\u00e7ant avec beaucoup de mat\u00e9riel. Dans tous les cas, n\u2019\u00e9tant plus \u00e0 la mode, un monospace est l\u2019occasion de faire une bonne affaire.
