Faire la chasse au moindre gramme superflu afin de r\u00e9duire le poids du v\u00e9hicule et offrir davantage d\u2019autonomie sans revenir sur la m\u00e9canique. En ce sens, le d\u00e9fi est de taille pour un SUV \u00e9lectrique premium comme BMW compte en proposer. Dans l\u2019optique du futur iX3, BMW a repens\u00e9 les jantes du v\u00e9hicule. Sur base d\u2019aluminium, la roue optimise le comportement des flux d\u2019air gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019ajout d\u2019inserts entre les rayons. Rien de trop compliqu\u00e9 d\u2019un point de vue industriel donc. Mieux, d\u2019apr\u00e8s le constructeur bavarois, ces inserts pourront \u00eatre personnalis\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En plus d\u2019un gain de poids (de l\u2019ordre de 15%), le coefficient de train\u00e9e en serait am\u00e9lior\u00e9 de l\u2019ordre de 5% par rapport \u00e0 un X3 thermique (qui ne p\u00e8se pas moins de 1 700 kg). Au final, cela correspondrait \u00e0 10 kilom\u00e8tres d\u2019autonomie suppl\u00e9mentaires en se basant sur le cycle WLTP. Ces gains a\u00e9rodynamiques seront d\u2019ailleurs appliqu\u00e9s aux prochaines productions \u00e9lectriques de BMW, \u00e0 savoir la i4 et le SUV d\u00e9coulant du concept iNext. Des v\u00e9hicules attendus en 2021.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00c9videmment, BMW n\u2019est pas le seul constructeur a avoir pens\u00e9 que les jantes pouvaient offrir des gains a\u00e9rodynamiques en compl\u00e9ment de montures pneumatiques moins larges.
